Context defines space, space only defines context with a larger context. A church building is only a church while consecrated. A house, a living room can be a church. A public park bench can be a church. You do not need an internet channel or a Bible selling or placing business to be a church. You only need religious faith. Something that is free and independent for all United States Citizens to independently express as their own true faith and belief. Pushing your faith on others seems to me to be a commercial enterprise and would violate interstate commerce rules independent of the 1st Amendment if it weren’t being given implicit exceptions by Congress in the name of being overly differential to extremists whose main source of livelihood is proselytizing their own biases on others through influence campaigns. (What else can you refine the definition of a missionary to? An advertiser for self-righteousness. I though that dies with the exposed failures of the Inquisition. No, really? They always advertise learn from your mistakes. We don’t learn. Why? Maybe we aren’t being taught! What a surprise. Even that isn’t perfect, but it’s better than what we had before. Not everyone does strategy. Smart people in the subject do that, the “experts”. Then, everybody gets together and get the job done. That’s how we’ve done it right up to an including Elon Musk trying to emulate both Henry Ford and NASA with a series of assembly lines simultaneously. Smart people (aka managers) manage other smart people (aka experts) managing (aka supervising) or doing (aka accomplishing the production, consumption, transport, or transformation of) things of concern to other people who may, or may not, be critically dependent of the assured, dependable, quality and seasonal volume of production or consumption with a more than insignificant dependency on continuation of supply chain satisfaction on the other party’s part. Some such method and operational plan is mandatory for any long term survival of humanity to be assumed. Without understanding of fundamental relationships there is no exchange of ideas. Not when the half-life of language is less than 4 years because Seniors and Freshman are not both in the same conversational pool. When 5th graders vote to elect politicians, we may achieve a democracy and the may evolve political discourse of consequence around the even family meal. The kids will ask each other and the parents questions, and the parents have to explain the ethical and logical reasons to the satisfaction of the kids questions. That people was what Jesus was preaching. Not parents teaching kids to shot bullets at targets that look like other people. All conversations are independent strings in a jumble. We do great monologue. We talk better than we listen, until we get old and are told that we are no longer independent. We dialog, but we don’t know how to multiplex. Instead, we’ve perfected pulling concepts like taffy until they twist on themselves and we create winners and losers out of neutral grey. It should have been a single hue of some other color than a mix of all and no color without spectrum. That kind of thing. No, here’s why it’s correct the way it is. With that kind of retort. There is a mindfulness to cyber and understanding cyber. Cyber is not physical, although there is a physical substrate. Going into the cloud, does not mean removing things from their physical base like dreams of AI in the comic books. Cyber, done well, IMHO, is Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. Cyber is another space. That space is not the place where they house the computers, disk drives, communications lines, and the rest of the stuff that eats power grids for lunch. No, that stuff gets kept in the cloud. The cloud was invented as a big data center where everyone’s stuff would run on Sun Microsystems Sparc computers at a Sun Microsystems data center. Well, it turned out the winner in the data center idea was Amazon, with Google, Micrsoft, IBM and others trying to, and accomplishing catch up after having missed the sign where business and the public redefined the path by re-expressing with their habits where they wanted to go, not where adverting by business wanted to lead them. The Cloud, is a set of really big buildings that eat a lot of power at and on pinpoints on the electric grid. Not the best architecture for a long term continuous resilient architecture meant to service needs indefinitely, but it’s what we’ve got. It’s where the model has to start. What the model can be legitimately coaxed to enlightened as a true path to a viable future is open and fair game.

Liberty of choice in framing and deployment of abstract concepts on people is not as simple as replacing the physical touch-points. But, it’s burned into the original document. So, even though it’s abhorant, there are ways to skirt correctness by finding grounds that rest on cracks and frail logic to justify decisions without concern for human impact. Architecture and engineering are professional practices. However, modern, post-1945, professions run themselves more like clubs for members, than guilds with responsibilities to the ultimate users of their product. There has been a number of polarity inversions that can be tracked in how we interact with each other in the modern world, with modern, globe shattering, Goliath industries and tools that drill miles into the mantle of the planet to earth, explore planets, see inside star systems and galaxies, and repair babies hearts In utero.
Their benefit is an ethical pledge for practitioners. Their problem is that they self-police, and then lobby professionally against their critics. That is not a Master Guild of which one should be proud to hold a fellowship. Membership can be and should be encouraged for learning and experience. Like government, vote, and use the resources of the technical expertise of the society, even if it’s social; policies are lacking. But, Fellowship is a different story. It logically becomes what it appears to be – honors for silence. We made the world proud of you, don’t make us ashamed. A form of loyalty to other, which compromises self. No problem if there’s no compromise and everything is okay. But, then, why secrets? Governments and societies meant for the benefit of the general public, the entire public, the whole human race, need to get open and out to the whole human race so that goals can be accomplished.

Engineering can always find an entry/exit even if you got caught in the middle of the Andes Mountains. Human engineers, practicing today’s engineering would get you out. Not assured, but it has happened, with a little luck, from inside the Andes. Might as well have been from the Moon after an emergency. That will be next. Give it time. Those are the next challenges. They dumped an planned mature architecture, for a new process that promised a new solution with a new architecture yet to be developed. The new architecture is coming, I’m sure, I knew the guys who worked on it years ago before they left for other projects. Fixing the slides that get used is not the solution to the problem. Never has been. Telling other people how to fix their problems. It never completely works. Try asking them how you can fix your own identified problems which you already have some concept of your own measures for what fix even means. If you have inter-relationships, you may find that fixing your problem, helps fix other problems in the relationship through pure energy flow. Flows block for unknown reasons. Unblocking what are known to be blocked flows never harms. If the plumbing is natural, flow was intended. Use it. Or block it intentionally for a reason, like a beaver with a strategy for some other mission of higher priority; but do it on purpose.
