Sirius GET STARTED
Watch this video to discover how to simply create a graphical modeling tool with Sirius.
With this video, you will see how to:
- create a Sirius project (Viewpoint Specification project)
- initialize a Diagram to graphically vizualize and edit the model elements
- define Nodes and Edges to display model elements on the diagram
- add a Creation Tool to create new model elements from a palette

[af_spoiler title=”BasicFamily Tutorial” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]
This tutorial explains how to use Eclipse Sirius to create graphical editors for visually describing a family.
It is composed of five parts, from the definition of the domain model to the deployment to end-users via an updatesite, including the creation of advanced editors and tools (ports, compartments, tables, etc.).

This tutorial explains how to use Eclipse Sirius to create a graphical modeling tool for a Mindstorms Robot.
It is composed of four parts, illustrated with videos, from the definition of the domain model to the creation of a simple graphical diagram with navigation and creation tools, including the customization of properties views.

The EATSv5 workbench Java core is powered by Eclipse Open Source technologies. Obeo Designer comes with two ready-to-use packages:
[af_table responsive=”yes”]
Community Edition |
Eclipse package including only Open Source technologies: Sirius, Ecore Tools and EMF Compare |
Team Edition |
COTS package completing Obeo Designer Community with repository-based collaborative features |
[/af_table]
Community Edition allows open source creation of graphical modeling workbenches for specific domains (industrial systems, software applications or the organization of major companies). It is powered by Sirius, the Open Source project of the Eclipse foundation created by Obeo and Thales. Obeo Designer is the professional solution to deploy custom modeling workbenches. Modeling workbenches created with Obeo Designer are composed of a set of editors (diagrams, tables and trees) which allow the users to collaboratively create and edit models in a shared repository. The distinction between CE and Team Edition is the underlying mechanisms provided for collaboration and professional support. The design direction for EATSv5 is the share the core Eclipse components and integrate collaboration via the EATSv5 CI architecture.
